December, 2012

My previous assistant was married at the beginning of the month. It was a sweet wedding with beautiful details. She wanted a winter wedding with no hint of Christmas as the wedding was held December 1st. Her  colors were creams with a touch of peach and winter gray green. Just perfect for the look. Birch containers were used for the cocktail hour. We created a really fun escort card table with a wooden rack the groom built. The escort cards, table numbers and cookies were winter white owls. The favor was an adorable beer cozy.

A wonderful Bat Mitzvah at Peche
  • by Melissa Brannon

This party came to use very last minute. We swooped in to help pull together the vision of the client and the caterer, Peachtree & Ward. I used the invitation as our quick inspiration. The envelope liner pattern and monogram were repeated in light patterns throughout the party. The client had a picture of hanging fringe that she just loved –so we made that happen in 2 different areas, adding a really cool vibe. We added some shimmer linens, minimal floral accents, furniture and pillows for a smart, modern look. The kids area was filled with rugs and bean bag chairs and one bean bag was Chloe’s sign in!

Hi Melissa,
I want to thank you for making Chloe’s Bat Mitzvah such a special day.  The decorating was better than I could have imagined.  You really did an amazing job and I loved working with you!  I appreciate all  of your little finishing touches with the party planning.  I only wish that I met you earlier!!

Thanks for everything!

This was a simply exquisite celebration  for a 50th birthday. The perfect theme: Venetian Masquerade, the perfect venue: University of the Arts Dorrance Hamilton Hall, a fabulous caterer: 12th Street Catering. We had such a fun time designing this party. I bought the masks in Venice this summer while visiting so they were “real” and just stunning. We added lots of old world touches along with gorgeous linens, breathtaking flowers and vintage furniture.

I cannot even begin to express my gratitude and appreciation to you and your staff.     The venue looked stunning and the flowers were the most amazing flowers I’ve ever seen.   The flower girl and bridesmaids bouquets were incredible.   Elizabeth’s, mine, the men, the tables were beyond my expectations.   The linens were gorgeous too.   Oh my god – and the 6 foot lit trees were amazing. I can’t even express my thanks enough.  The wedding was so much fun.   Elizabeth looked beautiful and everything went off without a hitch.

With much appreciation,

Pomme Radnor

Pomme Radnor A new location that is just what the main line needed!

We have been lucky enough to work with Peachtree & Ward Catering a couple of times at this new venue. It is such a nice addition to the Main Line offerings of venues and has the best in food and service with Jon and Lori Weinrott at the helm. We hope to return there often.

A September wedding with fabulous details and great style! The succulents and chevron pattern added the perfect touch to the muted tones of the flowers. It was simply perfect.

Love is In The Air 2012
  • by Melissa Brannon

Once again we are in the major planning stages for THE Bridal Event of the Year! February 28th at The Horticulture Center in Fairmount Park. The guest list of vendors will be phenomenal! The event is invitation only. If you are a Bride and Groom seeking the best and the brightest Philadelphia has to offer, then this event is a “must”!

This couple was wonderful to work with and had a great sense of fun for their wedding which is why they chose Love Shack Photo. Kelley Dovell-Maddox and Bill Cook from Please Touch Museum and Brulee Catering are always a true pleasure to work with. The colors of silver and purple worked perfectly in the space. The carousel room was set simply with candlelight and gorgeous callas.

Hi Melissa:
My husband and I wanted to thank you profusely for making our wedding absolutely perfect. From the ceremony to the reception, everything was stunning. The colors were gorgeous, the candles were sparkling, and the ambience was magical. You captured our vision and took it to another level of pure romance.  I loved the bouquets and boutonnières–seriously it was perfect.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for working within our budget and creating the day of our dreams.

You and your team are the best! I would give you a huge hug if I could.
