At our most recent design show, Love is in the Air 2016 our creative director, Jessica Mader incorporated guest favors into the table design and it was fantastic! We are big fans of subtle surprises, especially in design, and these Juliska inspired cookie favors were the perfect way to add an element of surprise!

Juliska is a bohemian glassware company that creates handcrafted collections that are rich with detail and totally practical! We love the versatility in Juliska’s glassware and dinnerware and highly recommend mixing and matching various shapes, styles, and patterns.

For the Parisian inspired table at Love is in the Air 2016, Jessica used solely Juliska china and complimented the table with Juliska inspired cookies designed by Whipped Bakeshop. When layered on the top of the table setting the cookies blended so perfectly that they looked like another piece of China! Take a peek at our favorite images!

If you are wedding or event planning consider incorporating your guests favor into the design. It’s is a nice way to keep things cohesive and personal.

Tis the season for festivals, festivals…and more festivals! We are thrilled to announce that our event planning and design team will be a part of the citywide Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA) this April.

Source: PIFA.ORG

PIFA is a 15-day celebration of dance, theater and visual arts in Philadelphia and 2016 is its third edition. Curated by the Kimmel Center of the Performing Arts, PIFA begins and ends with two fabulous events and we are proud to be designing all of the tables for the official PIFA Gala.

The PIFA Gala will take place at the Kimmel Center on Wednesday, April 6th. The 800 guests in attendance will enjoy cocktails, dinner, dessert and dancing and will be presented with the official tree unveiling and a special performance. Hoping for a sneak peek into our table designs? A hint of what’s in store; each table will represent one of the main performance pieces throughout the festival.

If you’re curious about attending one or all of the festivities check out the official PIFA page here. We’re looking forward to celebrating the arts and sharing all of the PIFA Gala images with you! Stay tuned.

Our event planning and design team transformed the Collingswood Grand Ballroom for Anna’s Bat Mitzvah this past fall and we couldn’t wait to share all of the details with you. The lovely, Jackie Bayne of Love Shack Photo was there to capture the whole day for us!

Anna’s day was full of surprises and we can’t thank all of our vendors enough for helping us make this day truly magical. 2 Life Talent provided incredible entertainment throughout the evening and Shipley Enterprises helped us completely reinvent the space with their fabulous draping.

Our favorite part of the ‘Mitzvah was Gunnar Montana’s specially choreographed performance that was a nod to Anna’s love for the Blue Man Group. Take a peek at some of the highlights from the day!

Love is in the Air 2016 Recapped

Love is in the Air 2016, was one for the books! Love wasn’t only in the air, this year it was in the vibe, on the tablescapes, in the flower arrangements, on the runway, in the delectable food and its presentations, and on the faces of everyone, presenters and attendees alike! Our event planning and design team had a fabulous time and each year seems to get better and better!

It truly was an experience from the moment our guests entered through the double doors of the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center, where staggered pillars of candlelight and my smiling team greeted them! The Horticulture Center is always an inviting space, especially in the depths of a cold winter and we are so happy that it was home to #LIITA2016.

Cocktail hour quickly led into a fashion show curated by Lovely Bride and Henry A. Davidsen and hosted by 2 Life Talent. Guests oo’d and ahh’d as fringe, beads and buttons, and even a female pants suit rocked the runway. Our LIITA partner, STARR events catered the entire evening and it was fabulous. Their food (almost) looked too good to eat!

Philadelphia Flower Show 2016

Don’t miss the chance to spend the day exploring America via its landscapes, flora and fauna at the Philadelphia Flower Show. Always a huge inspiration to our event planning and design team, the show is a refresh for the senses, especially after a cold winter!

This year’s theme “Explore America” boasts the characteristic beauty of the States and celebrates 100 years of the National Park Service. I can’t help but appreciate the design aspect in each exhibit and how each artist’s design is uniquely conveyed through their selection and placement of greenery and flowers. Another huge plus…the ever-growing market section of the show where you can buy anything from a garden hose to a backyard patio set.

The show takes place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center and runs until March 13th. Check it out during the week to avoid the big crowds!

Pennsylvania Ballet’s Don Quixote

The Academy of Music welcomes Pennsylvania Ballet’s staging of Don Quixote, a classic ballet with a comedic storyline and we are super excited to check it out!

Source: Pennsylvania Ballet

The show is based on the classic novel by Miguel de Cervante and is a Spanish-inspired performance under the artistic direction of Angel Corella (PB). Don Quixote is a fabulous tale that highlights the glory of fantasy over what happens in the real world. Something we love to take into consideration when we design events!

The performances will run through March 13 at the Academy of Music. Tickets for all of the events, including the elegant celebration dinner, are available through paballet.org.

We can’t wait to check it out in person this week!

Until next time,
