We love supporting local business and as Philadelphia Wedding and Event Planners, we’re always looking for new inspiration that will help take our special events to the next level. That’s why we were so thrilled to learn about Mole Street and their entertainment services!

Mole Street is a marketing/branding agency that specializes in digital and experiential marketing. They offer a spectrum of services that range from small influencer campaigns to big music festivals. Most excitingly, Mole Street Artists is an entertainment section of their business that connects clients with musical artists in our city.

Mole Street Artists’ list of talent covers the whole spectrum of musical entertainment services and range from individual acoustic artists to a 10-piece orchestra. If you’re looking for a hip DJ, you’ll find a few. Looking for a Latin duo? You’ll definitely find one.

Mole Street is a great resource and an awesome alternative to connecting us with new talent. We are super excited to see what they do with their time here in the City of Brotherly Love. Here are some of photos of their work! Check it out.

Talk about picture perfect, Amber and Sean’s April wedding was just that. With an all-star line up of vendors and a gorgeous spring day at The Fairmount Park Horticulture Center, the entire wedding could not have been any more beautiful.

Inspired by the season, our event planning and design team had a blast with this Philadelphia wedding! The reception was a perfect combination of sophisticated romance and a fresh garden party. Light shades of pinks and whites filled the pedestal centerpieces and were accented by bright shades of green. Our designer’s used baby’s breath to create Amber and Sean’s ceremony arbor and as table runners for their long farmhouse tables!

Complimented by the bursting Cherry Blossoms that grace the North East every April, the wedding album is a must see. Thank you to Mary Dougherty Photography for capturing the day so well.

There are tons of perks to planning a wedding on New Year’s Eve and we were lucky enough to help an awesome couple tie the knot this past December. Beginning at Hotel Monaco and making their way to Feast your eyes Catering’s Front & Palmer, our B & G had a fabulous winter day for celebrating in Philadelphia.

Front & Palmer, a former barrel factory in South Kensington is a beautiful loft space with tall ceilings, wood floors, white brick walls and epic chandeliers designed by Warren Muller of Bahdeebahdu. We chose a gold and silver color palette to remind our guests that it was New Year’s Eve and decked out the space in candles and festive lighting. The tables were a mix of farmhouse tables and rounds with sparkled custom linens and silk runners.

Bic Ric Rising rocked the house all night and led our guests into the New Year with a fun countdown! Balloons, Confetti, and champagne ensued and everyone was in the mood to party. The whole evening was glamorous and exciting and the holiday gave it an extra layer of excitement. Photos captured by Peter Van Beever Photography!

The Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts is officially in FULL swing! On Wednesday, our event planning and design team helped kick off the festivities by designing the centerpieces for the PIFA Gala.

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts (the heart of the festival) was home to the 2016 Gala and Garces Events catered the incredible evening. Dining tables were set throughout the Kimmel’s lobby and scoured throughout three floors of the building. Each table design was representative of the festivals installations and performances. Take a peek at some of our favorite images from the Gala!

As Philadelphia Wedding and Event planners there’s not much more exciting then when we discover a new venue or event space. That’s why we were thrilled to hear about the new plans that Cescaphe Event Group has for the Fairmount Water Works.

Located at the foot of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and waterfront, the Water Works has amazing views of Boathouse Row and Center City…perfect for wedding day photos! The venue is home to multiple event spaces, all of which boast neoclassical architecture and elegant details. With indoor and outdoor options the Water Works is customizable for brides and grooms to cater toward a large wedding of up to 400 guests or something as intimate as 85 guests.

Water Works is the perfect venue for brides and grooms that are looking to capture quintessential Philadelphia, as it is over 200 years old and a National Historic Landmark. We can’t wait to host one of our incredible events with the Cescaphe team, but in the mean time these beautiful photos will have to hold us over!

Want your cake and to eat it too? We know the feeling. Planning a wedding registry can be daunting when you can’t make up your mind. That’s why our wedding planning team was so thrilled when we discovered Zola, an online wedding registry that allows users to combine the brands and products they love all on a single page.

Zola is way more than just a wedding registry. In addition to allowing users and guests to choose products from brands from all over the world, Zola helps users file through products to find the must have staples and the most up and coming brands. Users can also install an “Add to Zola” button to their web browser that allows them to add gifts from other sites around the Internet. So cool!

Not as concerned about “things” on your registry? Zola also offers users the ability to discover experiences, like a cooking class or wine tasting. The site allows you to browse through local and national workshops and experiences. Not quite sold yet? Zola users have the ability to get really creative with their registry by creating a “Funds” page. This page can be used toward your dream honeymoon, a new home or to give back to your favorite charity. So cool!

Check out their Instagram page to gain some inspiration for your registry!

Juliska inspired Cookie Favors

At our most recent design show, Love is in the Air 2016 our creative director, Jessica Mader incorporated guest favors into the table design and it was fantastic! We are big fans of subtle surprises, especially in design, and these Juliska inspired cookie favors were the perfect way to add an element of surprise!

Juliska is a bohemian glassware company that creates handcrafted collections that are rich with detail and totally practical! We love the versatility in Juliska’s glassware and dinnerware and highly recommend mixing and matching various shapes, styles, and patterns.

For the Parisian inspired table at Love is in the Air 2016, Jessica used solely Juliska china and complimented the table with Juliska inspired cookies designed by Whipped Bakeshop. When layered on the top of the table setting the cookies blended so perfectly that they looked like another piece of China! Take a peek at our favorite images!

If you are wedding or event planning consider incorporating your guests favor into the design. It’s is a nice way to keep things cohesive and personal.

Until next time,

PIFA is a 15-day celebration of dance, theater and visual arts in Philadelphia and 2016 is its third edition. Curated by the Kimmel Center of the Performing Arts, PIFA begins and ends with two fabulous events and we are proud to be designing all of the tables for the official PIFA Gala.

The PIFA Gala will take place at the Kimmel Center on Wednesday, April 6th. The 800 guests in attendance will enjoy cocktails, dinner, dessert and dancing and will be presented with the official tree unveiling and a special performance. Hoping for a sneak peek into our table designs? A hint of what’s in store; each table will represent one of the main performance pieces throughout the festival.

If you’re curious about attending one or all of the festivities check out the official PIFA page here. We’re looking forward to celebrating the arts and sharing all of the PIFA Gala images with you! Stay tuned.

Our event planning and design team transformed the Collingswood Grand Ballroom for Anna’s Bat Mitzvah this past fall and we couldn’t wait to share all of the details with you. The lovely, Jackie Bayne of Love Shack Photo was there to capture the whole day for us!

Anna’s day was full of surprises and we can’t thank all of our vendors enough for helping us make this day truly magical. 2 Life Talent provided incredible entertainment throughout the evening and Shipley Enterprises helped us completely reinvent the space with their fabulous draping.

Our favorite part of the ‘Mitzvah was Gunnar Montana’s specially choreographed performance that was a nod to Anna’s love for the Blue Man Group. Take a peek at some of the highlights from the day!

Love is in the Air 2016 Recapped

Love is in the Air 2016, was one for the books! Love wasn’t only in the air, this year it was in the vibe, on the tablescapes, in the flower arrangements, on the runway, in the delectable food and its presentations, and on the faces of everyone, presenters and attendees alike! Our event planning and design team had a fabulous time and each year seems to get better and better!

garden-entrance-fairmount-park-horticulture-center-philadelphia

It truly was an experience from the moment our guests entered through the double doors of the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center, where staggered pillars of candlelight and my smiling team greeted them! The Horticulture Center is always an inviting space, especially in the depths of a cold winter and we are so happy that it was home to #LIITA2016.

Cocktail hour quickly led into a fashion show curated by Lovely Bride and Henry A. Davidsen and hosted by 2 Life Talent. Guests oo’d and ahh’d as fringe, beads and buttons, and even a female pants suit rocked the runway. Our LIITA partner, STARR events catered the entire evening and it was fabulous. Their food (almost) looked too good to eat!
