Birthdays are for celebrating and who doesn’t love a good birthday party?! In many ways planning a summer birthday party can be less stressful than planning some of those bigger milestone events. With less pressure and little to no schedule comes room for more fun! Now, just because we may not have spent as much time fretting over the details doesn’t mean these special days don’t deserve some of the spotlight.
My birthday happens to fall in the month of July and I thought I would share some of my favorite party decor sites and their totally awesome products.
I found Studio Mucci on Etsy and I absolutely love their balloons and fabric tassel banners. All of their products are so much fun – check these out!
If you are looking for crafty concept for your next special event try hosting your own ‘Paint Party’. Painting party or craft themed events have become increasingly popular over the last few years and we love the idea! Get ready to trade in that cocktail dress for a smock and channel your inner Picasso!
We recently planned and designed a 90th Birthday party for one of our very special clients.
Artists painted their own personal piece for the birthday boy! Don’t you just love handmade gifts?!
We even hired an artist to paint the event as it was happening—so cool! Painting parties are an original way to put a spin on your next bachelor/ette party, birthday, office party, or even just a girl’s night out. Plus, it’s a great excuse to pick up a brush and get creative!
You make magic. I’ve known that for years but finally I got to experience it firsthand. You took my jumbled thoughts and turned John’s 50th Birthday into everything I wanted to give to him. He was so blown away by all the little details that tied everything together. Each venue was perfect and made him and everyone else wonder what’s going to happen next. You are amazing and I’m so glad to have worked with as your assistant but also as your client.
So when it came time to properly thank you for everything you’ve done, I was once again stumped. After thinking and searching for ideas, I believe I’ve come up with one that is totally you. You will be having dinner for 4 people at the James Beard House in New York. Different chefs cook there each night and for a foodie like you, I thought it would be a great chance for you to relax, explore and enjoy.
I hope you enjoy your evening! Thank you again for everything! You’re not only a fairy godmother and badass, but you’re a rock star!
Uncommon Events travels anywhere to create perfect events. Our most recent foray out of the Northeast region was to Sedona Arizona. Enchantment resort, what a beautiful place. Especially in the fall months. Uncommon Events managed a 4 day weekend of events for a private celebration. Working with the Enchantment resort staff lead by Molly Anderson, the Director of Catering, we pulled out all the stops for every event on and off property. Events were held at Seven Canyons Golf Club, Los Lagos Ranch and the Enchantment property. We teamed up with Events by Showstoppers to assist with all the floral décor. They did an amazing job and could handle any last minute change or detail. The chocolate walkway of crushed cocoa hulls gave the guests a yummy scent upon arrival. The Navajo Rose Petal Rug created for the Saturday evening bash was just stunning. The Indian feather chandeliers were a favorite for the Saturday evening cocktail tent. There were jeep tours, balloon rides, campfire dinners, lunching by the lagoon, quite a busy weekend. Being from the East Coast, we were thrilled to embrace a completely different style of food, décor and accents.
We want to thank our Sedona team:
